Hey there!

We're Sal and Kris, the mother-daughter duo that alternates between belly laughs and, well, the occasional stomp-off. We’re each other's biggest cheerleaders but don’t hesitate to call each other out when needed – all in the name of keeping our heads out of our.....errr.....the clouds.

Kris? She’s the real deal, a Rural Generalist obstetrician delivering around 150 babies a year. So, yeah, she's kinda busy. And me, Sal? I manage our medical clinic, Boston Bay Family Health Practice, when I’m not trying to reign in my mum's latest wild idea. But even with our day jobs, we've always made time for some creative side hustling. Now, behind every dynamic duo, there are a couple of champions cheering from the sidelines. Enter our ever-patient (well, mostly patient) husbands, David & JR.

Together, we whipped up Alchemellia skincare back in 2017. Why? Because we wanted natural, no-nonsense products for our kiddos but that was just the start. By 2021, we were welcoming locals into our brick-and-mortar store. The aim? Growing our brand and giving a shoutout to other nifty businesses in the area. One of those cool businesses was Port Lincoln Gourmet Box Co., and, well, let's just say when it came up for sale, we pounced. The Eyre Peninsula is more than just our home; it's our legacy.

Here’s a fun fact: Kris is mum to Dale, yours truly (Sal), and Jim. We each got hitched to Cherie, JR, and Aislinn in consecutive years, and just like that, eight grandkids popped up almost one a year. Kris gets a kick out of how that all lined up. And between all this, David and Kris can't get enough of their grandkids, while JR and I sometimes joke about who’s really in charge!

Fun aside, we're deeply proud of our roots and the fact that we’ve nurtured over 60 local businesses in our store. Considering our modest population, that's a bit of a win! It's all about growth, discovery, and rallying behind every brand we bring under our wing. Today, our tight-knit crew of 30 is more family than staff, making every day a new adventure.
